Saturday Squares from the UK!

Hi Everyone!

I do hope you will go back a post and have a look at Karin's Squares and Debi's! I'm having to do a fresh post for the Squares that came in this morning. I typed it all out before and then lost it.

I'm very pleased to be showing you some Squares that have arrived today from
baw1812 (RAV) (UK) and also jody22 (RAV) UK.

First of all let's have a look at jody22's Squares.

jody22 has sent to me a Square for our 'Jan Eaton Challenge. Her chosen Block Number was 56 which is called 'Plain Granny'. A nice Square made in a beautiful shade of Blue. Also some Flower Squares I particularly like the big Red Flower Square! Also on the other Squares she has used beautiful variegated yarn. They are all just lovely.

These Squares too are lovely, don't you think?

baw1812 has been very busy too! Such great Squares for our SIBOL CHALLENGES! Two for the 'Tropical' theme, Two for the 'Textured' theme, and one for the 'Winter Wonderland' theme. All so lovely, thank you very much baw1812!

Blanket wise, I finished making the 'Two Tone Green Blankets' last night. I just have the Butterflies to make now. So it won't be long before I can show you them.

May I thank everyone that has recently enquired on RAV and also by email. It's lovely to meet you all!

Oh well I'm off to make the Butterflies, have a good Saturday everyone, fingers crossed this goes through now!

Donations of Sunshine Blankets/Shawls/Butterflies can be accepted between these dates.

1st March to 30th November 2016. Thank you.

I am often asked if there are 'collection points' around the country. Some Ladies find the cost of postage too expensive. There is a way round this. Why not make your Sunshine Blanket and donate it to your 'local' Care Home? If you want to contact me for a a pdf 'label' I will willingly send it to you. You can do this on behalf of our Group 'SIBOL' if that would help you. On the understanding that you would send me a photo of your blanket and the name of the Home where you have donated it to. I can then count this in to our totals.

Lists of Care Homes are available by contacting me.

This would be a great way of getting Sunshine Blankets to the Elderly in other parts of the country and not just 'Birmingham'.

The Lost Stash by Sally 'Chunky Hooker'.

Whilst rummaging in the scrap cupboard, I heard a plaintive cry " She never looks in our little bag, Can you tell me why? " A voice replied, "We're old and tatty, A little bit worn out, Our colours dull, our fibres matted, Now don't give me that pout!" "But I want to be a 'Sibolette', I really, really do! To be part of a Sibol, Made by the lovely Sue. It's my destiny, my dream, my fate!" The voice was getting higher, "I may be old but it's never too late, I'm not ready to retire". "Oh gosh", I thought, That sounds like me, Slightly worn, with a dodgy knee. So I'm off to college, A Diploma to gain And the voices of the Lost Stash? "Sibolettes" they became!
